FKM BIOGasket™ - The BEST
Also known as FKM, Type 1 Fluroelastomer or Viton™ (DuPont Performance Elastomers L.L.C.). The BIOGasket™ provides excellent resistance to petroleum oils, inorganic acids, organic acids, fuel hydrocarbons, animal and vegetable oils, mineral oils and solvents; the ideal gasket for biofuel blends.
BIOGasket™ also has excellent heat resistance, making service temperatures nearing 150°C / 300°F possible. The General Filters BIOGasket™ is ETL Listed for all fuel oils and biodiesel fuel blends up to B100.
Nitrile Rubber / Buna
Nitrile rubber gaskets provides excellent resistance to petroleum oils, inorganic acids, organic acids, fuel hydrocarbons, animal and vegetable oils, mineral oils, solvents, and biodiesel fuel blends up to B20. Temperatures up to 212°F / 100°C.
Vellumoid
Vellumoid is a treated cellulose fiber impregnated with protein glue and glycerin binder. It is used for specialty chemicals. Temperature up to 120°C / 250°F. Not recommended for petroleum oils.
